For this project my partner and I had to create a Corn hole related to mathematics. We decided to show the math behind throwing a boomerang.
Learned Topics:
Probability Learning Probability was very confusing at first but after doing many examples, afterwards they were easy!
The Fundamental Counting Principle This relates to permutations and combinations. You can either solve problems like these using equations or by simply multiplying them! ---->
Permutations This was really easy to learn. A selection of objects in which order is important!
'e' and Logarithms Knowing how to do this makes it easier to do really long math that would take forever. It's a shortcut to math and makes mathematics easier
Combinations I had difficulties not confusing permutations and combinations since they are almost the same.
Tree Diagramming At first i was confused on how to tree diagram but then i took a closer look and saw that it's mostly logic that you need to do this! I thought doing this was pretty useful because it helps us in the real world by improving our logic.
The Law of large numbers I felt like we didn't spend enough time learning this. It was perhaps because i was struggling to understand this topic.
Theoretical and Experimental Probability This is very similar to science (: Theoretical means what you think is going to happen, much like a hypothesis. Experimental is what actually happens; this is when you test your hypothesis.
